MMJ Speakeasies Rise In Southern California

Oscar Pascual of Smell The Truth reports that in the aftermath of California counties obtaining the ability to ban dispensaries some MMJ speakeasies have taken root. “The issue of whether this type of business is harmful or helpful to safe access is up for grabs. On the one hand, it’s a better option for patients than to go to the back alleys for their medicine, which counties like San Bernardino have forced patients to do. On the other hand, it’s a violation of local law and that may put the dispensary operators and their patients in harm’s way as well,” said Kris Hermes, media specialist for Americans For Safe Access.
