Maryland Medical Marijuana Bill to Be Signed Today

Maryland Governor, Martin O’Malley, is set to sign medical marijuana into law today. Maryland will become the 19th state in the nation to legalize medical marijuana, but there’s something special about Maryland’s bill. Academic medical research centers can act as dispensaries, hopefully finally providing ‘adequate’ scientific research to reschedule cannabis on the Controlled Substances Act.
