Marijuana Research Funding Cut as Support Grows

As the country moves forward in accepting marijuana as medicine and as a safer recreational choice than alcohol, the serious lack of objective scientific research on marijuana will receive less funding, rather than more. In 2007, $131 million was spent on marijuana research. In 2012, only $91 million was spent.
