B$ – Worked Mini Tubes

Just in time for 710, it is with privilege and pleasure that I present a Piece of the Week from a decade-strong cypher mate (think Garcia Vega green tubes and o-ringed down stems) and fellow Weedist, B-Money. His interpretation of the current “it rig” for dabbers is tits, and I had to share it with my #dopefam. A miniature bong for errl — so simple it’s painful, so gnarly it’ll make you cry. B$ rigs kick it up a notch by adding a touch of heady swag for scientific prices. Designed with “go and show” in mind, this is one daily driver that gets plenty of Likes and fires on all 12 cylinders. B$ is a lifelong exotic gear head, and it shows in his work.

Each rig is a hand spun, direct inject mini tube with a two hole fixed downstem tending to diffusion. A standard 14mm joint seats your nail snugly while you enjoy the stoner friendly, ergonomic bliss of a dabbing off a palm-held bong. To say his perc style and I got along would be a gross understatement. I’ve dabbed plenty of Bad Apple glass and they always rip fat and clean easy. What more can a daily dabber ask? Combine that with the lil’ bong footprint and you can see why I’m so hot on these.

Artistically, the two-toned premium color is an homage to B$’s lifelong adoration of cars and years working in the service departments of dealerships. You’ll notice the solid color and pin stripes that break up and complement the prime colors. His taste in raw glass is fantastic; Boro fiends will be happy to hear that colors like Green Slyme, Mighty Moss and Blood Money Red are regulars on his palette.

Did I mention these puppies are backwards compatible too? Hell yeah, you can grab a reverse slide and get your herb on before Amanda Bynes has time to swap wigs. Feel free — encouraged rather — to chase your fatty Indica dab with a smooth snap of Sativa. In fact, a full line of accessories is available, including matching dishes and dabbers. Domes are always included, woot woot.

The heady edition featured up top takes things one gear higher. The hard to find colors, fumed horns and gorgeous opal work join forces to make this particular collaboration between B$ and Deo (IG @deoglass) a showstopper.

Big bingers are cool and all, but I’ll remind you they are still intended for flowers only (lame). Unless you’re snakeing or globbing .1 every hit (don’t be O’Bannion), tight air spaces and mini-percolation are the deal. If you still haven’t hit a mini-tube yet, your mission is set. If you have hit one then raise your torch with me. #torchesup

About the Artist

B$ is the founder of Bad Apple Glassworks out of upstate NY. He is fast on the rise and destined to be a “made man” in the upstate Glass Mafia I’ve mentioned in the past. He is also the number 2 and glue that holds Prism Glassworks together. Now approaching his seventh year on the torch, he has made profound strides in short order, and has collaborated with some of the industries most elite. Not to mention he knows everyone and I do mean EVERYONE, the proverbial who’s who of glassdom. B$ is also as devout a student that can be found for both glass art and culture. If you didn’t get a chance already, see B$ and hear his fateful story on the pilot of the reality series Prism Glass Works and get yourself a mini-tube like yesterday. #lightersup
