Aesliip’s Grow: Flowering Update

Four weeks into the flowering stage and my two Blue Dream pals are developing little buds!

Things have been smooth these past three weeks, the only incident being a power outage that messed with the light cycle.

I switched my grow lights to two CFL’s. These bulbs have more light that is in the red spectrum, which I read is better for the flowering stage. I’ve been using the guide featured on Weeds That Please, and have found it to be helpful and accessible for new growers.

I replaced a lamp after it shorted out, but luckily it happened at the same time I was tending the plants, so I was able to swap it right away.

It’s been exciting to see the buds begin flowering. I typically only see it at the final stage, so watching the process day by day felt like I could understanding the plant better.

It’s not harvest time yet, so I don’t want to count my buds before they’re ready. The harvest and curing process is crucial, so in these last few weeks leading up ’till then, I’ll be researching how to do it properly. My next update will come when I’ve reached that stage!
