This week we salute David Umbs and his creation, the Rainbow Flame Hammer Bubbler (h/t Pinterest: McKenna Burgess)
David Umbs Rainbow Flame Hammer Bubbler
A rainbow flame hammer bubbler, what is that? It’s the best way I can describe what Mr. Umbs has created with this very cool piece is: The glass rainbow flames originate from the bottom of the piece and elegantly lick up the sides for an effect that looks like this bubbler is being consumed by flames of rainbow glass. Pretty slick and original from what I have seen (not that I’m the expert in pipes by any stretch of the imagination).
The Artist: David Umbs
I honestly don’t know much about David Umbs, other than what I was able to learn from his Facebook page. It seems he’s a Pennsylvania native with a thing for the Bay Area (we understand the draw David!). Oh yeah, he’s one hell of a glass artist!
