Texas Marijuana Penalty Reduction Bill Hearing Today

House Bill 184 is scheduled for a hearing today. The bill does not decriminalize marijuana in Texas, but the penalties for possession of up to an ounce would be reduced from up to 6 months in jail and a $2000 fine to a $500 fine with no jail time.
