Englewood, Colorado, a suburb of Denver and my own home sweet home, had a split city council vote on whether or not to ban recreational marijuana stores in the city. Like many places in Colorado, Englewood voters overwhelmingly supported Amendment 64, but local authorities have pushed to ban the businesses anyway. Luckily the city council is exactly half-sensible, and Englewood residents like myself will be able to vote on the ban in November.
