And when regular popcorn just won’t do, this medicated sweet & salty recipe is sure to hit the spot. Organic popcorn popped with coconut oil and dressed with delicious melted cannabutter, coconut sugar and salt make for an enlivening flavor experience.

Serves 2

Here’s What You Need:

  • 3/4 cup organic popcorn kernels
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons cannabutter (melted)
  • Sea salt

How to Make Sweet & Salty Popcorn

Begin by placing the coconut oil and a single kernel into a very large pot (at least a 6 quart pot). Place a lid on top and turn on high heat until the kernel pops. Once the kernel pops, add the remaining kernels and then sprinkle in the coconut sugar evenly. Give the pot a careful shake to thoroughly mix the sugar with the kernels, and then let the pot sit with the lid mostly covering the pot. When the kernels begin to pop, frequently shake the pot to allow the kernels to move around and pop thoroughly. After about 4 minutes, or when the popping has mostly stopped (do not wait for every kernel to pop), take the pot off the heat.

Place the popcorn into a large bowl. Take the melted cannabutter (you may either melt it using a microwave or the still hot popcorn pot) and drizzle it evenly over the popcorn, being sure to toss as you do. Finish by sprinkling sea salt on the popcorn according to personal taste.
