Do Not Donate Giant Bags of Weed to Thrift Stores

An employee of a Seattle thrift store was emptying a donation bin only to find a large garbage bag “containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana.” Consequently, the Seattle Police Department decided to publish a friendly reminder to citizens advising them not to donate giant bags of weed to such stores, as, unfortunately, it cannot be sold legally.

I can’t imagine what type of person had so much weed laying around that they feel the need to donate an entire garbage bag full of the stuff to a secondhand store, but I can certainly appreciate the gesture. Is that you, weed fairy?
