https://www.facebook.com/events/429530777139746/The NORML Women’s Alliance  is hosting a wake-n-bake to celebrate the launch their new foundation. Set for April 21st, 2013 in Denver Colorado, the event promises the opportunity to network with some of the nation’s leading movers and shakers in the marijuana law reform movement.

Denver is the hot spot for 4/20 celebrations this year for obvious reasons, and the Women’s Alliance event is one of many for the high holiday weekend. But, it is the only one that focuses on women in the movement. Boasting top representatives from today’s national cannabis community, this breakfast promises to be the perfect start as revelers get ready for the High Times Cannabis Cup. Speakers include Keith Stroup, founder of NORML, who will be signing copies of his book, “It’s NORML to Smoke Pot.” Books will be available for purchase at the event. In addition, Sabrina Fendrick and Diane Fornbacher, both from the NORML Women’s Alliance will make an appearance. Diane is the creator of a new online magazine with a female focus, LadyBud, which, according to their Facebook page is all about:

“…activists, aficionados, artists, writers, fans of general maryjanefoolery! We like cannabis, human rights, irreverence, feminism, and food.”

Greta Gaines, Kyndra Miller and Madeline Martinez, all members of the board of NORML will also be on hand.  Each of these women make a unique contribution to the board. Greta is a southern rock artist, former TV host, snowboarding and fly fishing champion from Tennessee. Kyndra runs CannaBusiness Law, Inc, with offices in California to help new and established businesses wend their way through the intricacies of the California medical marijuana law. Madeline is the owner of the World Famous Cannabis Cafe in Portland, Oregon and, like all these women, works to end cannabis prohibition for adults.

This promises to be a fun and informative morning. If you are fortunate enough to be in Denver for this momentous celebration, be sure to add it to your list. It will be too good to miss!
