NMA.tv on Marijuana Legalization in 2012

Ready for a laugh? NMA.tv (Next Media Animation), the group that brought us the infamous Tiger Woods animated video is at it again with their take on marijuana legalization in 2012.

NMA.tv: Marijuana Legalization Video Highlights

While the video is a little over-the-top, I think that’s what we have come to expect from NMA.tv.

To start with, the weed superhero looks like a cross between Henry Hemp and the Hulk. In one scene they touch on the dangers of driving while smoking marijuana as our stoner superhero falls asleep at the wheel (fortunately at a traffic signal), unfortunately for him a giant can of beer is about to plow into him with his car while drunk… ain’t that the truth [0:51 mark]. They move on to Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, who is talking about how drugs are bad for kids while he’s bartending at what is presumably his Wynkoop Brewing Company, serving beer to kids that just turned 21. [1:01 mark] The scene about the expected uptick in Oregon tourism is pretty amusing as well, with the uppity cannabis tourists talking about weed like it was wine, actually putting wine snobs to shame! [1:42 mark] Though, my favorite piece of the whole video is when they say marijuana is bad for you because: “Like your author, you’ll end up ruining your life and writing crazy animations” [1:28 mark]
