An Update on Alabama’s “Carly’s Law”

During its 2014 session, the Alabama Legislature passed a law authorizing a state-sponsored study of the efficacy of CBD in treating seizure disorders. Advocates of medicinal cannabis in Alabama were encouraged by the passage of Carly’s Law, but their enthusiasm quickly waned when it became apparent that federal government bureaucracy would be a roadblock to the study’s progress.
