Denver City Council to Meet on Recreational Marijuana Issues

The Denver City Council is holding a meeting this afternoon to discuss the regulation of recreational marijuana in the city. Among the issues the council will address are additional city taxes (on top of proposed state taxes), distance requirements for retail marijuana stores, whether medical marijuana dispensaries can have both medical and recreational cannabis licenses and whether the city will allow anyone besides current medical dispensaries to open recreational marijuana businesses.
