Source: http://arcompassion.org/news/2012/02/happy-medical-marijuana-week-in-arkansasArkansans for Compassionate Care submitted 11,000 pages worth of petitions yesterday to put legalizing medical marijuana on the Arkansas November ballot. The group says they have 67,885 signatures for The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act, more than the 62,507 required.  The Arkansas Secretary of State has up to 30 days to count the signatures, but a initial rough estimate may be available sometime next week. Today is the deadline for submitting signatures, so lets hope their signature count is accurate!

Arkansans for Compassionate Care is a coalition of concerned physicians, patients, and allies who agree that sick and dying patients should have access to medical marijuana with a doctor’s recommendation.  If you want to help, check out their FAQ on how to get engaged.

I love the excitement going around the Internet at seeing some red states like Kentucky and Arkansas pushing against prohibition as well!
