Product Review: Terra Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans

Terra dark chocolate espresso beans are a California based medicinal product that are as effective as they are delicious.

I should preface this review by admitting that I am a light-weight, so medicinal users who generally need a stronger dose should take this into consideration while reading. It doesn’t take a large dose for edibles to work their magic on me, and that most certainly was true for these tasty treats.

The label claims 120mg THC per container, with 5mg THC per bite. Inside the tin, there is a helpful little insert to remind consumers to start low and go slow. Specifically it says, “THC tolerances vary. Start with one bite. Wait at least two hours for full effect.”

This is great advice, and had I listened, I probably would have realized sooner than even one bean has a powerful kick. However, thinking that the beans were quite small, I ate two right away. It wasn’t long until I felt the effects come on — a deep body high and a powerful sativa-like head high that left me a bit jittery (though I also contribute this to the effects of the caffeine from the espresso beans themselves; I wasn’t kidding when I said I am a light-weight.) I soon realized that my arthritis pain was relieved by the effects of the Terra bites, and my muscles felt very relaxed.

The dose probably was a bit too high for me personally, however. I concluded I was a bit too stoned when I sat down for lunch across from a very elegant and attractive young woman, who I then proceeded to feel like a flustered teenager in the presence of (note: I am not a teenager, I am a grown ass woman). In my mind I lamented, “If only I had eaten just one, then I could have impressed her with my quick wit and cool composure!”

I jest, of course. It actually was a great lunch, and the heavy buzz I initially felt quickly mellowed out. When it did, I was left in a very comfortable, pain-free state with an elevated mood. Still, I’d caution other light-weights like myself to not be fooled by the size of these bites, they are wonderfully potent.

The Terra bites are very well crafted, and in quality are indistinguishable from other high-end chocolate covered espresso beans. The flavor is sublime and the dark chocolate is smooth and tasty. They are the product of a company called Kiva Confections, and are crafted using micro-roasted Tanzanian coffee beans coated in Kiva dark chocolate. The 5mg per piece is also a very convenient way to find and use the proper dose for this medicine.

All in all, I found Kiva’s Terra bites to be an excellent medicinal product that was both effective as well as tasty. They are a great choice for any California patient who likes chocolate, coffee, and their edibles to have easy and precise dosing.
