Favorite Strains: Strawberry CoughHow often does one get lost in familiar territory? Or, better yet, how often does one believe he is in a dream? Or in the middle of a video game? The answer, for me, is whenever I smoke Strawberry Cough.

Strawberry Cough is a sativa-dominant hybrid that makes you feel quite euphoric and gives a nice jolt of energy. It also has a pleasant fruity aroma, and you’ll get hints of the strawberry flavor as you smoke. It may make you cough.

My first experience with this strain was in the forest park near my old house. Interestingly enough, the Leafly review for Strawberry Cough says it’s great for the outdoors.

After taking a short break, my first pick-up was 4g’s of Strawberry Cough. Per my typical routine, I went for a walk in the forest near where I was living, and sat under a tree on the edge of a small field.

As I was sitting under the tree, pacing out my puffs to savor it the most, and listening to the soundtrack for the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, the sun came out. In northwest Washington, especially during winter, this is a big deal. All the trees lit up, and small beams of sunlight shone through the leaves, which were illumined to bright green.

Strawberry Cough and OutdoorsAfter enduring rain and clouds for weeks, and after taking a break from smoking, the combination of sun and weed and music was incredible. I was incredibly high, too.

I don’t remember very much. I know the music, especially this song, had a huge impact on how I was perceiving things. Looking at the trees made me lost in my own thoughts. I started thinking, “what if I’m in a dream?” and if I concentrated hard enough I could just about convince myself I was dreaming, but only for a moment.

Getting up and walking deeper into the woods felt like I had been transported into a video game. I thought I was walking around Bower Lake in Fable II, or at the Shadeleaf Copse in Oblivion.

I know that park almost inside and out, but I got lost anyway. At all times, the place I thought I was, and where I actually was, were two different things. It was like I had never been there before, even though I had been there literally hundreds of times.

To sum it all up: I tripped out on nature. It was amazing. Going outdoors and listening to music are some of the top things to do while high. You can’t really capture it in words, so if you’ve never done it, get out there! And take some Strawberry Cough with you!
