Medical Marijuana

I have had my share of nights downing a whole pint of Haagen Dazs and an entire bag of potato chips. In fact, twenty years ago, I began getting high and simultaneously getting fat.

About ten years ago, I achieved a weight loss of 80 pounds. And I did it while smoking pot every single day.

Weed does have the ability to suppress your appetite. Studies have shown that the cannabinoids THVC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabivarin) and CBD (Cannabidiol) suppress appetites and serve as a regulator of feeding behavior. THCV alone is at least four times less psychoactive than THC, so it doesn’t provide that high feeling. Researchers agree that these chemicals have the ability speed up the metabolism.

Strains that are good for appetite suppression and weight loss should have a THCV level at 1%. Combined with regular exercise and healthy foods, marijuana can be a great accompaniment to your weight loss regime.
