The real reason I was down in Richmond for the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup was that they had asked for a representative from reddit’s /r/trees to be on a panel, and I was close enough to go. I had a great time on the panel and talked to some good people and learned things that I’ll be hoping to write about in the future.

I did use my new vape pen (see Day 1 coverage) to attempt to get to the right level of highness where I was loose enough to feel relaxed enough to talk, but not high enough that I’d make a total fool of myself. We’ll have to wait for the video to see if I succeeded, but according to the official results, Girl Scout Cookies (the strain in my vape pen) was the top winner in the indica class, so for once I was doing something classy at least.

Above, a photo gallery of some of the great stuff we saw, like an indica strain made by Wellspring Collective called Ingrid, and a super-efficient electric kief extractor from Friendly Farms. And some very legit healing creams from Doc Green that my own family has been using for years, with fellow Weedist writer Joey Cifelli as the sexy hand model :-)
