http://www.bravemykayla.com/ Brave Mykayla and her family are making big news.  Their unique decision to use cannabis to help with Mykayla’s cancer has caused quite a stir.  SKUNK Magazine and the World Famous Cannabis Cafe have joined forces to put on a fund raiser to help the family at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the cafe, 322 SE 82nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97216.  The majority of the $20 door fee will go directly to Mykayla’s family.

It will be a fun-filled evening with a silent auction, raffles, live music.  Desserts and snacks hosted by Rabbithole Edibles will include a variety of goodies to enjoy.  Music will be provided by DJ BrainFood, acoustic duo JustUs, singer/songwriter Andrew Russell and Get Down Jones.  Playing a variety of music that ranges from electronica to funky old school soul, Americana roots blues and more, the evening promises to appeal to all music lovers.

Raffles at the World Famous Cannabis Cafe are the best!  You never know what they will be, but they are guaranteed to include some amazing goodies.  With local vendors like Brothers with Glass and Urbage Designs providing excellent donations to the event, there is sure to be something you can’t live without.  Add the amazing response from the cannabis community across the country and Canada, the home of SKUNK Magazine,  and these will be raffles to remember!

If the raffles don’t appeal, the silent auction certainly will.  There are rumors of fabulous gift bags. functional glass art, spa services and so much more.  Pledges to donate to the auction are coming in from all over.  Maui Wowie Boo Tube and Gravity Vortex along with KOS Seeds, Oregon Hemp Works and Happy Daddy Products are just a few on a long list of those who are stepping up.  This promises to be one you don’t want to miss!

So, start saving your money and come on out to a great event for a great cause.  This family has sacrificed a lot by going public with their choice of medicine for their daughter.  Together with Brave Mykayla, they are changing many long-time misconceptions by sharing their story.
