Dating Tips for Weedists

Are you a weedist who is single and into the dating scene, only to find it difficult meeting other stoners like yourself? You’re not alone. If you’re like me, you’ve met many people who seem like promising dates- until they tell you that they are “against weed.” And then I immediately move on.

Here a few dating tips for weedists:

Be upfront. This should be a no-brainer, but I had to learn this lesson for myself. I made the mistake of hiding my pot smoking from an ex many years ago. Never again. It is and was part of who I am, and I will never hide it. Basically, if someone doesn’t like it, they can hit the road. At least you’ll know right off the bat.

Don’t date a non-smoker. I have dated non-mj smokers in the past, and I know from experience that this doesn’t work for me. If I was the occasional toker, that might be a slightly different story. But for those who are heavy smokers (as I am) and weed is part of a daily lifestyle, dating a person who doesn’t partake might become a problem in the future.  On the same token, don’t date someone who has their mind made up that marijuana is “bad” or a “gateway drug.” They won’t be relationship material if they are against your natural medicine.

Be in the right place. Besides the dispensary, where else can you meet tokers for dating? Unfortunately, there aren’t any public pot smoking establishments where you can smoke and mingle amongst the clouds of pot smoke. I recommend browsing online dating sites specifically for marijuana fans, such as  420 Dating, Singles 420, and Cupid 420.
