UPDATE: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Fined, Suspended by WBC

When Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. tested positive for cannabis after losing the WBC middleweight title to Sergio Martinez on September 15, it was reported that Chavez would likely be fined and suspended.

On October 5th it was announced that the World Boxing Council has forced Chavez to enter drug rehab. The WBC has suspended him indefinitely until he completes the program. Chavez was also fined $20,000 which will be donated to a medical center that cares for cancer patients.
