While You Are Being Inundated With All This American Fourth of July Brouhaha

Okay guys, one more thing, this summer when you’re being inundated with all this American bicentennial Fourth Of July brouhaha, don’t forget what you’re celebrating, and that’s the fact that a bunch of slave-owning, aristocratic, white males didn’t want to pay their taxes.

Ok, it’s not 1976 (bicentennial) but I’m a sucker for classic Dazed and Confused movie quotes. The Fourth of July is a perfect time to reflect on the federal prohibition of cannabis, especially in an election year and with all of the momentum we’re seeing on the political and legal fronts.

Even though the government has no business in prohibiting marijuana, the ironic thing is we’re asking for a sensible legalization, regulation, and taxation policy. So wake up Uncle Sam on this Fourth of July and listen to your green thumb nieces and nephews!
