Source: http://thatloud.bigcartel.com/product/wake-and-bakeTo wake and bake, or to not wake and bake? This is the ultimate question for those regular tokers with a busy schedule. For those with a sit-at-your-desk, wear-a-tie kind of job, the answer may come down to how much of a hard-ass your boss is, or how much work you have to do that day.

Those who work at a coffee shop probably have access to enough free caffeine that it really doesn’t matter what state of mind they’re in when they show up to work. For others, it’s simply a matter of how great your tolerance is; if one puff is going to put you out, it’s probably not a good idea to go for it before noon.

No matter what your position on the matter is, I think we can all agree that sometimes you just need a little something to get going in the morning. Especially for medical marijuana patients, a little dose of cannabinoids during the day has been proven to help ease chronic pain. Waking up in pain is never really an ideal way to start the morning, especially because most of us have better things to do then spend the day hurting. Greeting the day with some green can be just what the doctor ordered to start right.

Many wake and bakers will also have a preference of strain for good morning rips. A heavy indica blend like Couchlock or Headband will probably just make you want to go back to bed and forget the world. A good sativa that will get your mind going and keep you alert is most likely your best bet for a morning session.

As with all medications, however, your needs and body’s reaction should dictate what is best. Does anyone have any particular favorites that are go well with a bowl of cereal? So I say to you, dear readers of Weedist, that sometimes a little addition to your morning coffee might be just what you need to get your day jump-started right.

What do you think about the old wake and bake? Leave your best defense/admonishment below. Stories related to being just a little buzzed on the job and still killin’ it anyway are most definitely welcome.
