Tommy Chong Is Treating His Prostate Cancer With Cannabis Oil

Tommy Chong has announced that he has prostate cancer (slow stage one), while not all that uncommon in men his age, it is uncommon that he is choosing to treat the illness with cannabis oil.  Tommy claims that he started having trouble when he was arrested for selling bongs on the Internet and was sentenced to spend 9 months jail time in Taft, CA:

“I was totally healthy when I went into jail,” Chong said, “…and I started having problems with my prostate right there. I remember very well because when you have problems, you have to get up in the middle of the night and pee a lot. Then I also contracted gout while I was in prison from the food. So I think its a combination of the food and the fact that the prison itself in Taft, California is built over a toxic waste dump, and they have a thing there called valley fever that other prisoners were getting and they don’t even know what it was.”

While it isn’t clear if he is only treating his condition with cannabis oil, it is clear that this will renew his efforts to push for legalization: “I’ve got prostate cancer, and I’m treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis,” he told CNN’s Don Lemon. “So [legalizing marijuana] means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested.”

Tommy appears to be working with Rick Simpson from PhoenixTears.ca, an unspoken advocate of the benefits of cannabis oil. Rick claims that cannabis oil has many benefits, including regrowing his hair!  “I am even using the oil now to re-grow the hair in a bald spot I have had for years and as you can see, my hair is getting less grey and my bald spot is shrinking rapidly. What an amazing substance.”
