These days, there is so much amazing visual content readily available on the Internet that often we forget to respect the emotional energy which goes into creating a really engaging image.  It’s bad enough when a tiny website that no one will ever visit doesn’t give proper credit to the artist, but when a major publication forgets the rules, that’s inexcusable.

Recently a major Canadian cannabis publication, SKUNK magazine, took advantage of a Bay Area resident by claiming her image as their own handiwork.  Earlier this year SKUNK magazine cultivation editor, “The Rev” reached out to Coral requesting permission to use her image in an article comparing Sativa and Indica.  Permission was granted so long as the image was sourced from her website, not edited in any way and photo credit was given to her and her boyfriend as the photographer.  Well, guess what happened?  The image went to print, was manipulated with credit was assigned to “The Rev”.  Way to drop the ball.

Whether this happened maliciously or not, one thing is clear, The Rev @ SKUNK, you owe Coral an apology!
