A study from Colorado State University predicts that about 12% of Coloradans will each buy an average of 3.5 ounces in 2014. That’s well over 2 million ounces, which is estimated to cost roughly $420 million.
Greg Sundstrom, city manager of Grand Rapids, Michigan, spoke in his latest video blog about the effects marijuana decriminalization has had in the city: “The city’s still running swell.” He also gave some advice for those that use cannabis: “One, never own more than two and a half ounces and, two, do it in your home.”
If you’re an average marijuana smoker in Colorado—paying average prices for average-quality marijuana—you can expect to spend around $650 on weed next year. That’s estimating 3.5 ounces annually… I’m pretty sure our readers are anything but average!
