Product Review: Herb Iron

The Herb Iron is a perfect way to torch a bowl in your living room, your man cave, your tricked out garage or that little travel trailer hide out in your back yard where you go to “relax.”  Mine is in the living room.  I got it from my friends at Brothers with Glass, who thought I might like it.  They were right; I love it.

The ceramic heating element means that you never have to inhale butane from a lighter again.  Since it is electric, you don’t have to light something else to use it – like a hemp wick.  When you hold the button down, it heats up; you let go, it turns off – simple.

When friends come over, they are always game to try it.  Sometimes, they switch back to their lighters for a while.  But, by the end of the sesh, they prefer the Herb Iron.  It delivers a fresher, more clean herbal flavor even after the first green hit.  It’s easy to keep a cleaner bowl by using it to stir out the leftovers when your stash is cashed.

The cord can get a little cumbersome, but it’s long enough to pass the Herb Iron along with the bong, and the spring really helps keep the cord from tangling or kinking up.  I have used it to spark kief, hash and oil, and it has worked well with each application.
