Denver Officials Want Legal Marijuana to Pay for Everything

In an excellent article on the Denver Post, Vincent Carrol explains that officials are waiting to pounce on the marijuana industry like a cash cow, and points out the contradiction of Denver’s plans to hire 26 additional police officers (and implement an additional marijuana tax to pay for them) due to the passage of Amendment 64. One of the biggest reasons the people of Colorado voted in Amendment 64 was that it would save law enforcement resources.
