This piece from glass artist PB Torcher is a nod to Dia de los Muertos.

This specific pipe can be found on Etsy.

Los Muertos Pipe

For those of you that live in parts of the US lacking Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos (aka. Day of the Dead) is a holiday to celebrate our loved ones who have died. Here in San Francisco (and more specifically my home, the Mission District) Dia de los Muertos is a serious holiday.

About the Artist: PB Torcher

“move it around, make it work” – PB Torcher

PB Torcher describes himself on his Etsy profile:

I became involved with glass in August of 2000 in Eugene, Oregon. I studied under multiple artists who had a passion for style and a Iron fist for quality control.

Sculpting glass has given me the ability to express my interests in a positive way and to help understand the subconscious mind. With several avenues to study, the possibilities for creating new glass art are endless. The human form, anatomy, and robotic textures are currently my areas of interest. There are many techniques that need to be refined and several that are undiscovered; break down the walls and express yourself!

I hope to always evolve with this ever-growing industry, and look forward to the future of glass!
