The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is considering an outdoor grow ordinance for medical marijuana growers. The ordinance would require registered medical marijuana growers to identify their water source, their cultivation area including any structures, and agree not to misuse pesticides and rodenticides. The ordinance is an attempt to prevent further pollution and destruction of the wilderness/wildlife.

The Cannabis Career Institute (CCI) has opened Nevada’s first MMJ school, providing students with lessons on growing, budtending and dispensary operation. This all comes before the first medical marijuana dispensary opens in the state.
Former NASA scientist and co-founder of High Altitude School of Hydroponics, Dale Chamberlain, has now used his knowledge and expertise (he designed a plant growth chamber used on the Space Shuttle) to form Colorado Grow Box, which sells fully-automated and airtight growing cabinets complete with electronic controls. A non-automated model is also available.
