The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has apparently issued a ‘copyright’ of sorts for a specific Cannabis Sativa strain, listed as “Big C”, to a Chris Griffin in Toronto, Ontario, as per an announcement on the Agency’s website last week.

Marijuana documentary “Evergreen: The Road to Legalization”, a behind-the-scenes examination of Washington State Initiative 502, is set to open theatrically at Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street) beginning this Friday, June 13. A bill that would legalize medical marijuana in New York suffered a major setback Monday, the same day Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters he would sign a medical marijuana bill — so long as it “makes sense.” However, Senate Finance Committee chairman John DeFrancisco said the legislation wouldn’t be put to a vote in his committee, as too many uncertainties remain about the drug.
