50 Year Old Caught With Giant Cannabis Plant Christmas Tree

Chilean police officers suspected a 50 year old mother of narcotics activity, and watched her for over a month before they felt they had enough evidence to raid her home. Inside her home, they “…allegedly discovered shotguns, $5000 cash, 21 five-foot cannabis plants and 29 bags of hash in the San Bernardo residence.”

To their great surprise, they discovered that the woman had been using a giant cannabis plant as a stand-in Christmas tree. Police officers were taken aback to discover there were even presents placed around the base of the plant.

I’m not going to pass much judgement or commentary on this story. I’m not familiar with Chilean drug laws and if you have shotguns and tons of cash around, this is likely not a medical supply of weed. I certainly think marijuana should be fully legal all over the globe, but I don’t support any kind of violence or criminal activity.

The laws do need to change as they are the biggest issue regarding cannabis use, but it’s just asking for scrutiny when you try to grow so many plants and carry firearms in a country where both are presumably illegal.

All that aside, it is still kind of a funny notion. I would love to trade my 6 foot Noble fir for a 6 foot sativa. Not only would there be less pine needles to clean up, but you could get baked on your Christmas tree after the holiday was over. Even environmentalists have to like that! Additionally, although, my cats love to chew on the Christmas tree, they might be in for more than they bargained for if they were to chew on that kind of Christmas tree.

Betcha in that Chilean house, they have an alternate title for a beloved Christmas song — “Rudolph the Red-Eyed Reindeer.”
