Great Edibles Recipes: Crockpot Cannabis Hot Cocoa, Source: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/034/c/7/hot_cocoa_by_courey-d4oj0n6.jpgOne of my favorite drinks around this time of year is delicious hot cocoa. For me, hot cocoa brings all of those warm and fuzzy memories back into my mind: playing in blizzards, building snowmen, and celebrating the holiday season with loved ones. This medicated recipe is for hot cocoa made in your crockpot, so it’s simple and perfect for making a large batch to please you and your guests. You’ll be sure to love this rich, creamy, and chocolaty drink.

Serves 10-12 persons

Here’s What You Need:

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 4 cups cannamilk
  • 4 cups organic whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon organic pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (I recommend using semi-sweet or dark chips, but you can use milk chocolate chips as well.)
  • Optional garnishes: mini-marshmallows, whipped cream, peppermint stick, dash of cinnamon, etc.

How to Make Crockpot Cannabis Hot Cocoa

To begin, add the can of sweetened condensed milk, 4 cups of cannamilk, 4 cups of whole milk, 1½ cups of heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon of organic pure vanilla extract to your slow cooker or crockpot.

Next, add in the 2 cups of chocolate chips to the slow cooker. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are my recommended type of chip for this hot cocoa recipe, however if you wish for a more chocolaty batch of hot cocoa you should opt for dark chips. Or if you’re the type of person who’s known for having a huge sweet-tooth, you can opt for the milk chocolate chips which will yield a sweeter batch. Regardless of what you choose, any one of those three chips will work splendidly for this recipe.

Then, turn your slow cooker on low, and allow the ingredients to cook for at least 2 hours, making sure to stir the contents throughout the cooking process.

About halfway through the cooking process, you should taste your cannabis-hot-cocoa to see if any alterations need to be made. If the flavor is lacking in the chocolate-department, feel free to add another ½ cup of chocolate chips (or you can choose to add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder) until your desired taste is achieved.

After 2 hours has passed, the hot cocoa will be piping hot so please serve it with caution. Using a ladle, pour the cannabis-hot-cocoa into cups or mugs and serve with your choice of garnishes.

Some good options are mini-marshmallows, whipped cream, peppermint sticks (this is a good choice for those who enjoy the chocolate/mint combination), a dash of cinnamon or anything else your heart may desire!

Serve immediately and enjoy!
