Edibles

Chocolate and cannabis — who doesn’t love the two in sweet harmony? If you’re thinking to yourself, “Well, I sure do,” then Cheeba Chews Medicated Chocolate Taffy is for you! Even if you’re more of a caramel lover, they’ve got you covered.

Cheeba Chews have been around for a long time in the cannabis industry, and hold the philosophy of 3 core principles: Potent, Consistent, Discrete.

      1. Potency — They’ve got it! With variable levels of THC and CBD, as well as personal dosage options labeled on each product, everyone can enjoy the medicinal benefit of these chews.
      2. Consistency, again — on point. According to Cheeba Chews, every batch of cannabis extract is tested for accurate and precise measures of THC potency. They are also tested for their amount of the cannabinoids CBD and CBN; along with activating 98% of these cannabinoids and THC.
      3. Cheeba Chews are definitely discreet. Once out of the labeled package, the chews are wrapped in foil which could be mistaken as a normal, “non-medicated” candy to those unaware, so as with ALL edibles, use safety measures and keep away from children and the unsuspecting consumer.

I personally love the THC and CBD mixed chew. I have severe pain throughout my body due to rheumatoid arthritis and Cheeba Chews have always been a staple in my medical cannabis treatment regimen. The taste is that of chocolate (like a “Tootsie Roll”) with a hint of delicate hash on the back end — a rather pleasurable taste.

The lower dose of 50 mg THC along with 20 mg of CBD helps quiet my pain, but doesn’t knock me out or prevent me from enjoying a nice joint of my favorite strain with my edible therapy. However, I also enjoy the 70 mg sativa, indica and hybrid chews when a slightly higher dose of THC is needed for pain. Though personally, I would rather consume more of the THC/CBD chews to make up for the lesser potency so that I get more CBD therapy as well.

On bad pain days or during a RA flare, a nice big 175 mg “Deca Dose” chew is nice and handy to keep me away from pharmaceutical pain meds. The caramel chews are good and tasty too, but I haven’t tried the mint chocolate chew yet, though it’s on my list to find. I also hope to try the 100% pure, non-psychoactive CBD chews soon, as I would use those daily for CBD therapy (and a sweet treat) since I’ve heard good things about them from consumers.

Cheeba Chews are my go-to on bad pain days for a small, sweet treat to defeat the pain, and give me mental clarity that most of my days require. I am a tad different in that I eat my entire chew consisting of 50 mg THC and 20 mg CBD in two doses within a 3 hour period. I’ve done experimentation and feel that the 17.5 mg single dose options don’t get me the desired benefit.

With that being said, I do not get a cerebral high or buzz from these chews in relation to a Deca Dose chew (175 mg, usually I consume 2/3 of those at once). I also have a higher tolerance than some, and seem to get more of a body effect and mellowness to my mood.

The effects of the various chews tend to set in within 20-30 minutes for me and last an average of 3-6 hours with the higher THC products. However, there is one constant — no matter the time of day when I eat one, I tend to sleep phenomenally well that night, which is unusual for me.

Overall, I recommend Cheeba Chew products for most people. I see it being beneficial for those who have chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia and inflammation. Additionally it’s a great choice for those who cannot smoke, those who don’t want to feel “buzzed,” or those in need of CBD therapy for nausea. Cheeba Chews are a great choice for medibles that are “Potent, Consistent and Discrete.”
