This, my friends, is soap with style.
Downtown Apothecary (previously known as Soap Cafe) is a soap company which can be found on Amazon and Etsy. They sent me a sample of their special cannabis themed soap, aptly titled, ‘Da Dopest Soap’ to try out and see how I liked it. Well, I can say that I liked it quite a bit!
The soap arrived in beautiful packaging, which makes it perfect for gifting. The bar itself was very lovely, with a perfect looking pot leaf sculpted on the front. The leaf stayed visible through many uses, and in fact the imprint of it can still be seen (I’m a little more than halfway through it). I also loved the rich green colors. The soap bar is a decent size and weight also.
The soap is made with a hemp oil base, but the scent is very earthy and woodsy. I believe there are some notes of pine in there. I found it extremely pleasant and it was probably my favorite thing about this soap. After all, what good is soap if you don’t like the smell of it!
In their own words, they described the soap as, “This refreshing woodland scented soap features a cannabis leaf design in green. Each soap is 4.5 oz and 2.75″ x 2.75″ and nestled in box wrapped with hemp string. Each soap is handmade and shipped from our sunny So Cal commercial studio.”
More deets: It lathered well, got me squeaky clean and didn’t irritate my skin.
Overall, I was very happy with this soap and would definitely recommend it for oneself, or as a really fun gift for the cannabis lover in your life.
