My Favorite Strains: Blackwater

After a long day, it’s nice to be able to kick back with something that has a consistent effect and is good for sleep and overall relaxation. One of my favorite strains that I often recommend for nighttime is Blackwater, which has a reliable ability to make the eyelids heavy and have an overall strong body high.

Blackwater is a cross of two already pretty legendary indica strains, San Fernando Valley Kush and Mendo Purps. The latter is what gives Blackwater its distinct dark color, which typically isn’t quite all the way purple but not at all green; like something closer to black colored nugs. I’ve seen many batches of well-grown Blackwater that are very crystally and typically very strong, with a great effect for nighttime.

Mmm… So tasty.

Indica strains in general are most definitely not the best bet for daytime, and Blackwater is no exception for those looking for something that is less sedative. This comes highly recommended for those seeking help for insomnia and is really terrible for anyone looking to operate heavy machinery; it’s definitely that type of zonked out effect.

Blackwater has a consistently strong and peppery taste with some very uniquely pretty nugs. Fans of indica strains should definitely not hesitate to pick some up on their next marijuana dispensary visit.
