My Favorite Strains: Jilly Bean - WeedistWorking in the legal marijuana industry in Colorado for the last several years has taught me that there are many different kinds of smokers, each with a different set of qualifications for the bud they want to purchase. Many people are mostly concerned about the effect. “Will it be good for daytime, or will it make me too sleepy to function?” Still others are super concerned about the look, many people only want nugs that are dense and are dripping in kief.

Still others are all about the smell and taste, which is often determined by how well the particular strain of flower is grown and cured. One of my favorite strains for smell and taste has to be Jilly Bean, a sativa dominant that has the same great smell and taste no matter where I find it.

Originally created by popular genetic company TGA Subcool, this is a mix of Space Queen and Orange Velvet. The smell is very distinctly sweet and fruity, with a potent odor that just smells… sticky. When smoked, Jilly Bean has a robust fruity flavor that is pleasant no matter how you enjoy your cannabis.

The effect is another thing that always seems consistent throughout the several batches I’ve seen at dispensaries in Denver. This is an upbeat and happy sativa, great for daytime and active use.

Those looking for a great tasting sativa dominant strain definitely need to check out Jilly Bean!
