Temporarily out of stock

It’s been nearly two months of legal marijuana sales in Colorado and going strong! Here’s another quick tip from a professional marijuana sales clerk that spends 40+ hours a week servicing the customers who have been coming from (literally) all around the world to purchase some of the best marijuana in the world.

All shops rotate through product, just like a brewery or small restaurant might. Don’t expect that every strain and type of edible will be available every single day.

Many legal marijuana dispensaries are still very busy and at the capacity they can handle every day, so while you may be able to call and find out what they have on hand, there’s a chance that you’ll just have to show up and see what you can get. I totally understand how many people would assume that products are just available all the time, but this is still a new industry and it’s going to take at least a few months before things will work at a normal level.

By summer, most shops will be totally stocked all the time, but like any other retail store, busy days will mean that stock on certain strains and items will run low. As I’ve said before here on Weedist, don’t expect that marijuana dispensaries have magically figured out a way to predict demand for every single item. Anyone who has ever worked in food service or retail will be able to tell you about Murphy’s Law: as soon as you’re out, that’s when people will ask for it the most.

So just be a little patient until supply catches back up with the overwhelming demand and enjoy your experience at a legal marijuana store!
