Celtic Tree of Life (design) MFLB

I obtained my very own Magic Flight Launch Box (MFLB) about two weeks ago, and so far I’m very happy with it.

The MFLB is a portable handheld vaporizer that uses batteries to heat the element and vaporize the herb.

The vape kit comes with two rechargeable batteries, battery protector caps, a batter charger, cleaning brush, and a draw stem all in a nice little tin box. I bought the Celtic Tree of Life Laser Launch Box Kit for $155 (includes +$30 walnut wood option), but MFLBs generally range from approximately $119 to $169.

The box can only be used with flowers, but is very easy to use. You simply place some finely ground herb into the little chamber under the plastic screen, then insert the battery and push it up against the receptor which will heat the tray inside. Then, after about 5 seconds you inhale slowly for 10-15 seconds, then release the battery and clear the chamber.

It took a little getting used to at first, but within 15 minutes I had it down. Now that I’ve had a couple weeks to feel it out, I’m here to tell you about the pros and cons I’ve noticed.

Pros:

Discreet- It doesn’t look like a smoking device. It’s possible to use the palm of your hand to push the battery in, while your fingers hold and hide the actual box. From a distance it looks like your just holding your hand up to your mouth; up close it’s not obvious what you are doing. Only seasoned smokers would be able to recognize what’s going on. Compared to smoking from a glass piece (my most common method) its much easier to smoke in plain sight.

Durable- Its a little wooden box, so you don’t have to worry about it breaking or any tiny intricate parts being damaged. If you dropped it a bunch it still would work fine. It would be pretty difficult to accidentally break this thing.

Simple- It comes with two batteries and a battery charger, and all you really need to do is push the battery in and inhale. When the batteries are dead, pop them in the charger at night and in the morning they’re ready to go.

Warranty- I bought my MFLB from the company itself and it came with a free life-time warranty. Sweet!

Conserve the herb- Unlike other vapes I’ve tried, in this one you can see the herb as it vaporizes, which makes it easier to figure out how many hits are left. By myself, I can have about four or five sessions before the herb needs to be changed.

Magic Flight Launch Box - WeedistCons:

Losing stuff- The batteries come with little rubber caps to keep them from touching metal and heating up, but these caps are pretty easy to lose. The inhale stem is clear which makes it hard to see. This is good unless you drop it on the floor.

Hot batteries– After charging the batteries I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to cool down before I could use them. If you’re in a group and everyone’s hitting the box, the batteries can get hot quickly and you’re not supposed to use them when they’re too hot to touch.

Awkward When the inhale stem and battery are inserted, the device makes an L-shape which felt a little clunky compared to pen vaporizers.

Despite the cons, the magic flight launch box overall is a great and handy little thing. I like the fact that it’s made mostly out of wood, with a few metal and plastic parts. I also ordered one that has a Celtic tree design, as shown in the pictures. These things give it a more natural rustic feel compared to other portable vaporizers, which are sleek and shiny.
