Denver Dispensary Raid Didn’t Phase Me, DEA IRS, Source: http://www.xn--4dbcyzi5a.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/raid-colorado6-500x298.jpgWorking in a dispensary has its risks. When I applied for a badge I assumed that a certain amount of risk was involved.

There were at least a dozen dispensaries that were raided last Thursday in the Denver metro area and I wasn’t worried about it at all.

The dispensary I work for practically wrote the book on keeping things legit. So the odds of a federal raid are slim to none. Their inventory tracking is precise and accountability high. This keeps things honest and clean.

When I started looking for a job at a dispensary I knew that I would never see the back side of the business. The image portrayed to the public could be one thing, however behind closed doors, who knows what kind of accounting methods are being used.

Everyone was talking about the IRS’s involvement with the DEA in the Colorado raids. The two entities combined sound like a formidable beast. I guess that it was follow all the rules to a “T” today or your shit will get jacked.

I wasn’t worried about the feds rushing through the front of our store. However it was upsetting seeing pictures of a front loader loading weed into a dump truck, a box full to the brim with Marqua drinks being confiscated, a pile of plants laying outside in the snow, and broken store fronts. The pictures can be viewed at The Denver Post.
