Great Music While High: Parquet Courts, "Stoned and Starving", Source: http://parquetcourts.wordpress.com/2012/11/24/127/

I know the Great Music While High series generally covers artists, but I gotta tell ya, I’m so hooked on this one jam. I’ve not heard shit else the band wrote; somehow I’m sure it all fucking rocks. If you haven’t already clicked on the YouTube link, how boss is it just to have a song named “Stoned and Starving”?

I know what you’re thinking, “Weedist likes a song named Stoned and Starving, how convenient…meh.” I’ll be first to admit I almost jumped on the hater bandwagon when my girl first told me the name of this track, but then she played it. SCHWING! I was instantly bopping like Wayne and Garth to this THC fueled, instant punk classic.

I know— I love it too! So, this dose of kick-ass to chase a fat dab with or gleefully rock out to sober is brought to us by Parquet Courts from Brooklyn, NY. I can almost picture them walking into a bodega (stoned and starving, of course) and debating what to eat (Swedish fish? Licorice?) as I have been there myself before.

If there’s one thing I adore about being a stoner and audiophile, it’s the proverbial song stuck in my head. This track has pitched camp in my sub-conscious and I think I am going to extend its site permit. Here’s to just the thought of taking dabs back in the old CBGBs.
