This one is special…

It really does not get any better than this week’s Piece of the Week. It is my esteemed privilege to share with you the Rob Morrison X Hops Glass Cookie Monster Jagitoe.

How absolutely bonkers is this fucking rig???!!! Cookie Monster on my daily driver— YES, PLEASE. You already know how I feel about the Hops Glass Jagitoe inline: best all-around rig and brought to you by the inventor of the inline perc. You can only imagine my astonishment when I saw this masterpiece.

When I was growing up, I absolutely adored everything Jim Henson did; from Sesame Street to Labryinth with a pit stop at Fraggle Rock in between, Henson rocks. Henson characters are the headies of cartoon characters, the type of characters you hope explode into your sub-conscious with every dab. Twenty-five years later I respect his work at the academic level but I still love it like a kid. Normally you can’t shut me up, but this rig has me at a loss for words.

(takes dab of Sativa) Ahh, there they are…

The juxtaposition of positive vibes are what truly makes this piece so profound to me. Sesame Street was an unadulterated, practically concentrated source of joy when I was a kid. Rinse and repeat and you’ve now got how I feel about dabs as an adult.

Rob Morrison Glass

Cookie Monster was the vision of multi-talented glass worker and truly inspired artist Rob Morrison. Produced in boro’s backyard (Eugene, OR), Rob’s Muppets and Sesame Street characters took the glass world by storm. His work is so clean and his reproductions are faithful; since the first time I saw them his work has haunted my pipe dreams. This rig in particular was so over the top I had to share it with you.

With this piece we have more than just a collaboration between titans of the glass world— we have a super collab of positive energy. Sesame Street was the show that taught us science and math were cool and Cookie Monster taught us it’s OK to indulge once in a while. Hops taught us that science and math are still cool— so cool they can be used to make a handheld inline that you can hit ‘til you’re blue in the face— it never backsplashes.

I’m gonna say it— this is the perfect piece. A super head piece that can get dirty, really dirty. So many headies leave you too scared to hold it, let alone hit it. I’m telling you, if you’re fortunate enough to score this (or any jagitoe) hold it any way you want and hit the shit out of it with no fear.

Thanks ever so much to Rob Morrison who was good enough to share his photos with us directly. Stay tuned for my forthcoming interview with him. #weedist

P.S. Happy Anniversary to the Hops’ Glass Inline, here’s to ten more years of ill glass.
