It’s almost too tempting to go on and on about cross breeding here, but I won’t. If you take a look at the consistency of this shatter you know for certain what type of ride I was on. I don’t do Sativas often and when I do, I mix them.

I went with this guy because of the name: Head Band. Head Band is a Sativa I do find fascinating for the sensation it creates. That Headband feeling, so aptly named, always strikes me as an Indica standing out in a Sativa. I tend to be used to the opposite. I found the opportunity to dab a Headband cross very intriguing. I am not too familiar with Star Dawg, but from the looks of the Shatter I was in safe hands.

I admit I rolled a big one this time around, but nonetheless this was a pretty harsh hit. I am not bitching, just pointing out a tougher hit for something quite masterfully purged. Headband has a cough reputation and this was kind of on the oily side, so it could be that. Once the coughing ceased (I’d say comparable to a 2 ft. bong snap’s worth of hacking and watery eyes) I turned on the tube and waited.

I honestly smile every time my head band takes hold. The feeling was so prominent; it was worth the mild discomfort. The taste I will mention now, because I could still taste it. Big hits have a habit of sticking in the nose and this was no different. A bit floral, which I can only imagine was the Star Dawg and all earthy after that- quite organic tasting.

The experience was quite memorable. Every Sativa journey for me almost invariably is attached to some sort of laugh. Arrested Development first season re-runs were on IFC, channel surfing GOLD. We all know how epic this show is (was) but I laughed like a first timer. This turned out to be a very punchy strain and I loved that about it. Three episodes with breaks equaled about 90 min of awesome off that dab. I was having such a good time that I took another COUGH and watched three more. #lightersup
