Here is where I admit that I am the son of a mad adman and a total sucker for good merchandising. I had never smoked this strain in flower form, but “Ace of Spades”… it might as well have said Diablo Dabs. I am a poker nut and if any Motorhead fans are reading- it’s still one of the gnarliest guitar riffs ever.

Let me tell you guys, this strain roooooccckkkeeedddd. Why am I telling you though? Did you see those pictures?! I wish I could share the goofy ass smile on my face when I opened that disc. HOLY CRAP, a single .5g sheet of soft shatter. After some Instagram preservation (@diablodabs) because folks, this is the kind of consistency people lie about (just sayin’ J) my dab was packed and it was time for lift off.

My first comment is on smoothness and flavor. I distinctly tasted lemon- awesome. However, it tasted so sweet I was questioning its Indica side. I am a big guy and an Indica nut because I love to feel my weed. As it turned out, Ace of Spades was a good old fashioned creeper. The strains are so potent on the West Side I’d forgotten what it felt like to have a strain a creep in…obliterated. It was as if the Sativa was a wooden horse and inside was an Indica army.

Initially, I sat down and started browsing the documentary section of Netflix; it seemed like it was to be a pondering night. I barely made it three clicks with my wiimote before Ace of Spades delivered a righteous pimp slap. All of a sudden I felt like I was puffing my cheeks out and weighed 40 more lbs. I realized what happened, mischievously cackled and then stood up to confirm it. Oh I was faded alright and in the way we’ve come to expect and adore out of Hybrids. We want just that, both sides right down the middle. Ace of Spades certainly dealt Indica and Sativa- it even snuck past me. Big shouts and thanks to Justin over at Kured Collective Seattle for the recommendation and the delivery (Christ do I love Seattle).

BTW I did end up sticking with a documentary…about weed. #lightersup
