Prospero’s Grow Week 11: About Time to Start Flushing

It’s been a great experience growing cannabis in my apartment in Denver- the buds are starting to look great and are getting huge!

It’s getting to be about the time to start flushing, a period during which no nutrients are fed to the plant and everything is flushed out in preparation for harvesting the finished buds. Because I’m in a limited space, I really can’t let the plants go for very much longer, because I’ve raised the light just as far as it can go and the large fan leaves around the big kolas are starting to get some light shock. So it’s definitely time to start thinking about harvest.

Some growers like to use Final Phase or another fertilizer booster, but I’m choosing to just water the plants every day or two (depending on how they’re looking- it’s starting to get hot and I want to make sure that the plants get the necessary water.)

Not too much else to report this week, but I’d like to once again open the comment section to any growers who can share wisdom or any other good information on harvesting or flushing. Last week Denver Green Beaker dropped a nice comment correcting some of my thoughts on pruning, and I’ve been getting a TON of great info from lots of different growers. With so many different ways to grow, you’ll never stop learning!
