Being able to explore over pristine forest, beach access, playgrounds, and a zoo all in one convenient location makes Point Defiance Park a great Weedist Destination!

Located a bit south of Seattle, WA, within the City of Tacoma, Point Defiance Park is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. But with almost 650 acres to be explored at the park, if you’re willing to walk a bit you can find a secluded spot to enjoy the day in the forest or enjoy the sandy beaches along the Puget Sound.

You can also check out the 92 acre Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium to see animals from around the world, visit one of the numerous gardens or enjoy miles of hiking through the forest. Or, for the history buffs out there, checkout the Camp 6 & Lodging Museum, Fort Nisqually or enjoy the narrated walks illustrating the history of the park and region which take place throughout the Spring and Summer.

Check out the calendar online to see upcoming events. If you’re in the area come Christmas time to the annual zoo lights exhibit where the zoo becomes a magical land filled with thousands of intricate lights.
