Product Review: Oregon Hemp Works Soap

Oregon Hemp Works (OHW) is gaining in popularity and notoriety across the West Coast.  These unique body care products can be found in local Oregon boutiques and at many summer festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Ben Christensen, soap maker and owner, is now expanding his body care collection to include our pets!  His dog treats and soap specially formulated for our furry friends are on the horizon, and hemp clothing is in the works.

Ben makes his soap using a true saponification process that is 5,000 years old and no longer used by commercial soap manufacturers.  He is passionate about the products he makes and the process involved.  He is dedicated to preserving traditional soap making  practices to provide the best product possible.  All Oregon Hemp Works products are made right here in Oregon with all organic ingredients, including hemp.  Of course, they are also cruelty free.  They are easily available from their website or via their Facebook page for shoppers outside of Oregon.

I  started using Oregon Hemp Works soap several years ago.  Ben came to vend at the Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards, and that’s  where I discovered this great soap.  It was hard to pick a favorite scent; they all smell so good!   The Clarity scented soap has become one of my favorites, and I make sure I always have it on hand.  All OHW soaps are long-lasting with great lather.  They rinse clean leaving behind a light scent.  Scents included besides my favorite include: Citrus, Lemongrass, Cedarwood and Relax.  The fragrances are garnered from natural herbs, flowers and spices in delicious combinations that refresh and revive.
