Next week most of us in the United States will celebrate Thanksgiving, a time to eat, watch football and break out your Thanksgiving football paraphernalia to smoke with friends.

Thanksgiving Football Paraphernalia

A relaxing day spent with food, family, friends, football and marijuana… ah Thanksgiving. Weed really is the perfect compliment to your Thanksgiving feast. Stepping out to hit the pipe between courses will help you find the extra space in your tummy to eat more than you thought was humanly possible. Later in the evening you’ll probably also have the eating stamina to power through one of those great leftover turkey sandwiches. All the while you’ll be watching football and when the night comes, you’ll sleep like a baby. Ah Thanksgiving.

For those of you that don’t know, Thanksgiving is the busiest travel time of the year in the United States. If you intend on crossing state lines in your pilgrimage, make sure you know your “destination state” laws about medical marijuana reciprocity. The easier solution is to head to Colorado or Washington, where recreational weed is now legal.

Thanksgiving Day NFL Football 2012

Football games being played on Thanksgiving Day date back to 1876, when Yale and Princeton began an annual tradition. This year, as always (in recent memory) we’ll find the Lions and Cowboys playing at home, and we also have the 3rd game that should appeal to a strong fan-base. Here’s the complete NFL lineup for Thanksgiving Day:

  • Houston Texans at Detroit Lions (12:30pm EST)
  • Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (4:15pm EST)
  • New England Patriots at New York Jets (8:20pm EST)

Weedists, show your team pride and bring the right Thanksgiving football paraphernalia to your celebration! (you can find the helmet pipes at TotalPipe.com, the football grinder can be found on OurWeed.com)

As a reminder to Weedists, sadly the NFL has come out against marijuana, even as Colorado and Washington have legalized recreational marijuana (home to the Broncos and Seahawks, respectively). We hope the NFL comes to their senses and acknowledges that marijuana is not a performance enhancing drug, and actually is quite a good painkiller after a tough game like football.
