Bipolar Disorder

Millions of Americans suffer from bipolar disorder, and a recent patient study has found that medical marijuana use may help alleviate the symptoms of the psychiatric disorder.

The study concluded that patients with bipolar disorder and a history of cannabis use performed significantly better in cognitive tests than those BP patients who don’t use cannabis.

The bipolar disorder cannabis users had better levels of attention, speed and memory.

It is important to note that the use of medical marijuana is not a magic cure for bipolar disorder. It is a medication that allows the bipolar patient to function better on a daily basis. Patients use sativa and indica strains to balance out the depression and manic stages that are characteristic of the disorder, and the results speak for themselves.
